There is a lot to think about when it comes to the 2020-2021 RCI Fees.If you are a member of the RCI network, take a look at the different membership fees there are and when they take effect.
Resort Condominiums International is a vacation exchange company that is owned by Wyndham. It has the largest network in the world. It is possible for members to use their timeshare as trading power in the network. The system allows members to book vacations worth the same amount as their ownership. Most vacation exchange networks have a fee for those who use their service.
If you are an RCI member, you know about the membership fees.Normally, owners make payments in advance for using the services available in the program. There are two types of memberships. You can upgrade your benefits with Platinum and Gold memberships.
You can purchase your membership for future years at a discount if you use your timeshare year after year. You won't have to revisit your subscription year after year if you subscribe ahead of time.At their own discretion, RCI can change fees at any time.
For the simple reason that points can be divided among several one to five-night stays as compared to weeks, RCI Points members have a bit more flexibility in their membership. It may seem like a more valuable membership if that is important to you.Imagine if you wanted to take a two-night stay in July and then use your other five days somewhere else a few months later.Week members can only swap their week for another week somewhere else.
Depending on a number of factors, like your resort's popularity, the type and size of your unit, as well as the season you own in, your annual allotment of points varies.
Points-based memberships can be used to tailor vacations to your liking. If you don't use your points now, you may want to bank them for next year. There are fees for points management.
A Points Saving fee is when you want to save your points for the next year. You have to pay a Points Extension fee when you want to keep your points. The fee is based on the number of points you want to roll over. You can rent more points upon check out.You can rent more to make up the difference if you choose a resort that is out of your range.
Points Protection was designed to give members a 100% refund on points they spend and don't use.The price of Points Protection depends on the number of nights a stay is.*
30 days from the date of vacation confirmation and 15 days or more before the check-in date.
The RCI Weeks membership allows owners to exchange their traditional week at their home resort for a week somewhere else.Fees are due each year in order for the program to continue. You have the option to secure your subscription up to five years in advance.
Once your week is deposited on the platform, you will be assigned a trading power value. The deposit trading power is dependent on a number of factors, such as your resort's popularity, the size, and the type of unit you own.
Fees are similar to managing points deposits. The deposit and extension concepts are the same as the points.
Upon booking, you can pay a fee that locks in the value of your week. This is only useful if you exchange your week for another week and then cancel the trip. The week's value won't be calculated by RCI by having the TPP.
You have the option to upgrade your existing membership for even more rewards.Points or Weeks members can get incredible benefits and discounts with the Platinum and Gold membership fees.
Privileges include exclusive sales and savings, priority booking, and an RCI Platinum membership.Priority is given to select exchange vacations before they are made available to the entire network, and there is also a 24 hour Travel Assistance for problems big or small.
The benefits for gold members of RCI are great.Depending on your budget and needs, a Gold membership may be right for you.It is not as expensive as Platinum but has some of the same perks.
Most exchange companies charge an exchange fee.If you are a week or points member, the exchange fee is the same. You must book the resort by exchanging your home week or points if you want to exchange for a resort. The exchange fee comes here. The fee is different if you are a points or week member. The most current fees are shown in the chart.
If you want to give your membership as a gift, you can use guest certificates. You have to pay a gift certificate fee for transferring your membership. The fee applies to both points and weeks members. The guest certificate allows a friend or family member to check into your timeshare after you have booked your vacation. If you aren't going to be taking a vacation this year, or if you're looking for a gift for someone, this is a great option.
Last Call vacations are available to confirm within 45 days of check-in.Being a huge vacation exchange network, RCI offers cruise options as well. The two are listed here.
You have to pay a fee to reactivate your membership. If your membership is canceled, call to discuss your options.
Timeshare members can travel to awesome vacation spots year after year with vacation exchange.Do you use RCI?Let us know what you think.Happy exchanging!
