A Dog's Journey is a film with a full cast and crew.

A Dog's Journey was written and directed by Gail Mancuso in her feature film directorial debut.The film is a sequel to the film A Dog's Purpose, which was based on the novel of the same name.Josh Gad, Dennis Quaid, Marg Helgenberger, Betty Gilpin, and Henry Lau are in the film.

The film was released by Universal Pictures in the United States on May 17, 2019.[5]

Bailey, an old St. Bernard/Australian Shepherd, lives happily with his owner and his family.He is fond of him.Gloria has an ambition to be a singer, she hates dogs, and she has a strained relationship with her in-laws.Gloria's suspicious nature leads to her moving out with someone else.

After finding a tumor in Bailey's stomach, he held Bailey and asked him to take care of his friend before he died.Bailey is shown running through a field.

Bailey, reincarnated as Molly, a female beagle, is looking for a new home with her brother.Trent and his parents adopt a dog.Molly runs outside to remember the promise she made.She hides Molly in the suburbs and takes her home.Gloria scolds her for getting a dog, but her mother allows her to keep her as she feels neglected and lonely.

Along with Trent and Rocky, there are more and more close friends.Trent was told by a teen that she wants to drop out and move to NYC with her father's insurance settlement to become a musician.

Molly tries to protect her fromShane, who she distrusts.Molly learns how to detect cancer when she is sentenced to community service for attending a party where she was busted for drinking.Gloria closed the door on her grandparents after they brought a box of her dad's things.He reminds Molly of the promise to protect her.

Molly bit him as he was being attacked byShane.Gloria revealed that she spent all of Henry's settlement money in order to get CJ to leave town with Molly.On the way, she was killed when her car flipped.He fled the scene to avoid being arrested.Molly is shown running through the same grassy field that Bailey ran through before he died.

Big Dog is a guard dog with a new owner at a gas station.Although enjoying his new life, he misses his old one.One day, a young adult is visiting the store and Big Dog is with her.He dies of old age after he spends his life missing her.He is shown running through the field again.

Max is at an adoption event in NYC.He sees and chases her into her building until he finds her.She adopted Max because she didn't want him to get put down.She hasn't overcome her stage fright despite living with her boyfriend and working as a dog walker.

While returning a dog to a client, Max recognizes the scent of Trent and ends up with a girlfriend and a new apartment.Max sabotaged the relationship between Trent andCJ, causing them to break up and her to leave.After staying with various friends, Max pulls to Trent on the street, who offers her his spare room.

Max remembers how to diagnose cancer when Molly.Trent begins treatment.The shallow girlfriend leaves, so he becomes his primary care giver.Once Trent is cancer-free, he wants him to meet Gloria.She warms up Max by giving him some of the letters her dad had written while she was pregnant.They help to kick off her musical career by inspiring her to write more songs.

Trent takes CJ and Max on a road trip to the farm in Michigan to see her grandparents for the first time since she was a baby.Max is immediately recognized by Ethan as Bailey.Bailey would only know that Max was doing a trick.She knows that Bailey, Molly, Big Dog, and Max are the same dogs that brought her and Trent together.

They marry and have a boy.Humans reconcile.Max was at his side when he died in bed.Max dies at the same time as he does, with a friend at his side.The final scene shows Bailey running through the grassy field, morphing backwards through his previous incarnations, before crossing the Rainbow Bridge and rejoining his friend in heaven.As a reward for being a good dog, Bailey got to love him forever.
