Add a checkmark to a Word document.

You can learn how to add a checkmark symbol to a Microsoft Word document on both Macintosh and Windows computers.If you don't find the checkmark icon in Word, you can use the Symbols menu on your computer.

Step 1: You can open your document in Microsoft Word.

You can insert a checkmark by double-clicking the Word document.Click on the main page if you want to create a new document.

Step 2: The checkmark should be placed in a place where it can be found.

The Character Map program can be found on your computer.

Step 16: You can click on the character map.

It is at the top of the menu.The Character Map window will open.

Step 17: Click the box that says "Font".

This can be found at the top of the Character Map window.

Step 18: Click Wingdings 2 when you scroll down.

You'll need to scroll all the way to the bottom to find it in the "Font" drop-down menu.

Step 19: Select the checkmark icon.

The checkmark is at the bottom of the Character Map window.

Step 20: Click on it.

The Character Map window has it at the bottom.The checkmark icon will be copied.

Step 21: You can open your Word document.
