Apples are a better snack than chips.

I have been on a health kick and have found it difficult to find a snack that doesn't taste like sawdust.What did I want to find?Something that keeps me going through the day.Something that is enjoyable to eat.I don't want a crazy sugar crash an hour or two later.I try to eat as close to the source as possible.

I tried straight-up cut up vegetables, but they became soft quickly after being cut and not refrigerated, and I wasn't getting enough energy.I tried fruit, but it was boring and awkward to eat an apple in school.The heavens must have given me seven blessings, because I came across Bare Snacks.

I was impressed with the variety of chips.There is a lot of different types and flavors to choose from, and with what looked like a spot on perspective on green living and as little processing as possible.There is a review of the company and some of my favorite flavors.

Bare Snacks is run by a small team of people who are committed to creating the simplest, healthiest snacks, based on the barest, most natural of ingredients, in the greenest of green cities, San Francisco.

The company was founded in the local farmer's market.Their sources are still the ripest and most local fruits, which they slice and then bake.The crunch of the chips-not-chips is like a guilty pleasure but without the guilt.It was a huge plus after my run-in with soft carrot sticks that there is a surprisingly diverse and interesting array of snacks.

I was surprised by the flavors of ginger and coconut.I eat some pretty stuff, but this one was hard to wrap my mind around.I was pleasantly surprised.The coconut has no added oil.The ginger was brought out just a little.I was a fan of the cane sugar when it was put into the mix.The taste was subtle and delicious.The coffee bean flavor is the same as the original.The ginger flavor is a bit less kid friendly than the other two, but still fantastic.Each of the three flavors has between three and five ingredients.It doesn't hurt that they're all organic.

The only difference between these flavors and the organic ones is that they are not organic.The taste is flawless in all four of them, and I was particularly impressed with the honey coconut combination.The combination of coconut and chili is definitely a creative and interesting one- it is a great mix between a kick of spice and that natural sweet oiliness and crunchiness of baked coconut.

One of my favorite flavors in the world is chocolate and coconut, so it was no surprise that I chose it.The delicious feeling of eating something that feels wrong but isn't is the best part of all of these.I did not feel tired or drained after snacking, like I would after eating potato chips.I didn't feel the need to prepare for a crash because I was happy.

The products are all organic and there are a couple of great things about them.They have only one or two ingredients, and one of them is the Cinnamon Organic Apple Chips, which are simply cinnamon and apples.I have had many apple chips in my day, but they never manage to get a crunch in there like a crisp, straight out-the-fridge apple.These definitely had enough crunch to satisfy my need for snackage.

I suppose the only disappointment is that the chips are non-organic.These chips have between one to two ingredients and are delicious.They are a great option for a snack that is still healthy.

The banana chips have between one and two ingredients and have no sugar added.The flavor combinations are simple and classic, using unsweetened cocoa or cinnamon to add something more to the natural honey-like sweetness of the banana.I was initially concerned with the crunch factor, but was impressed with both the texture and the flavors.These would make a yogurt less boring and a crumbled pie crust more interesting.

I think the real question is about the packaging and processing of the fruits, since Bare Snacks are made from fruit and spices.All of the chips are free of harmful chemicals.They have no cholesterol, no trans fats, and are a great source of fiber.It can be difficult to not finish off the whole bag if you overload it, a bag has between two to three serving.

Most people try to avoid snacking that is less than desirable, but these snacks provide a healthy, easy, on-the-go alternative.They can be added to yogurt, ice cream, or cereals to make a meal more interesting.The gears are turning.You can enjoy them as they are for dessert.

They are sweet enough to be a huge hit with both kids.And with adults.They are a great way to get some vitamins in between classes, and won't make you crash on sugar an hour later.Bare Snacks made with bare fruit are filling, healthy and delicious.
