The lever on the side of the hose reel needs to be moved back and forth.It should be pushed in the Rewind position.

When the water has been shut off, remember.The lever should be moved to the Rest position.

The drain hose needs to be placed so it can drain freely.If there is no water in the drain hose, the hose reel can't be used.

Heavy duty hose, thick walled hose and rubber hose are heavier than other hoses.

The heavier weight doesn't need to be pulled from such a distance if the hose is brought closer to the reel.

The hose should be in front of the reel.The hose will not move smoothly if corners, shrubbery or other surfaces are not avoided.
