I am confused.According to a post by Dr. Karen Becker, chia and flaxseed are good sources of plant-based Omega 3s, this only applies to humans, as pets lack the enzymes necessary to convert vegetable sources into DHA.EPA pets need the necessary amount of seed oils.They need animal-based sources for this reason.

According to what I read, it is a small amount for small dogs.I don't know if I should feed my dogs every day or not.I would look at the different things chia seeds are bringing to their diet and make sure I am not doubling up elsewhere.I wouldn't add chia seeds to a meal with fish oil.
