Thanks, Greg.I am feeding in San Diego.I bought cracked corn.I have lesser goldfinches and house finches.I have doves in California and Oregon.The doves are eating food.The towhee is grabbing food.Juncos are eating millet.Trying to figure out who will eat the cracked corn.Those birds were spoiled.ha!
It's fun to experiment with different bird foods, I just purchased white millet and hulled sunflower chips in an effort to create a non-messy bird seed mix with no cracked corn.
Thank you for the information.I mixed cracked corn with seed and put it out.A flock of wild turkeys come twice a day and eat everything.I think I'll put the cracked corn on the ground because most of the birds will eat it.Save the seeds for the feeders.
