Blood stains on clothing can be hard to remove. The blood stain should be removed with care.Chemicals that are not appropriate for delicate fabrics should not be used.Tackling the stain with ingredients such as soap, salt, hydrogen peroxide, or ammonia will help restore your clothing to its original state.
Step 1: Wet the stain with water.
Make sure the stain doesn't run by blotting it with cold water. You can run it under the faucet. If the stain is large, put it in a bowl or basin of cold water.Don't use warm or hot water. This will make the stain worse. The run will need to be treated as part of the stain.
Step 2: The soap should be put on the blood stain.
You can use bar soap for this.Rub the stain with a sponge. The soap should be washed out in cold water. If needed, apply soap again.
Step 3: The clothing should be washed.
You can wash it if the stain has let up.It's a good idea to wash it alone. The same detergent should be used.Warm water should not be used on the washing machine cycle.
Step 4: The clothes should be dry.
Don't put the clothing in the dryer because the heat from a tumbler dryer will prevent the stain from fading completely.Hang it up so that it doesn't get wet.You can store the clothing or wear it once it is dry.If the stain hasn't faded completely, try another method. If the blood stain is still visible, don't iron the clothing.
Step 5: The stain should be washed in cold water.
Try to get some of the stain out with cold water. To remove the stain, use cold water and a towel. You can run the stain under cold water.
Step 6: You can make a paste out of salt and water.
To make a paste, mix one part cold water and two parts salt. The amount of water and salt depends on the size of the stain.Don't mix too much water with the salt. The paste should be spread.
Step 7: The paste should be applied to the stain.
You can apply the paste to the stain with your hand or cloth.Rub the paste over the stain. The stain should be let up.
Step 8: The clothing should be washed in cold water.
Run the clothing under cold water after the stain has been removed.Remove the paste by rinsing it.The paste should be applied if most of the stain hasn't come out.
Step 9: The skin is as normal.
If you normally use detergent, use it for that piece of clothing.Do not use cold water to wash clothing.Once the clothes have been washed, hang them up to dry.
Step 10: The hydrogen peroxide should be tested on a small spot of clothing.
It is important to test hydrogen peroxide on a hidden spot of clothing before using it to bleach fabrics. If you see discoloration, use a Q-tip or pour a very small amount.
Step 11: The hydrogen peroxide can beDiluted for delicate fabrics
Take 50% hydrogen peroxide and 50% water and put it in a container. If you are not sure if the solution has beenDiluted enough, you can try it on a piece of clothing.
Step 12: Place hydrogen peroxide on the stain.
Make sure you only pour hydrogen peroxide on the stain. When it is working, it will foam up.Make sure the hydrogen peroxide saturates the stain by rubbing it in with your hands.
Step 13: If it's necessary, repeat the process.
If it is a large stain, one application of hydrogen peroxide may not be enough. If the first application doesn't fade or remove the stain, apply more hydrogen peroxide. The stain should be wiped between applications.
Step 14: It's better to rinse with cold water.
After the stain has been removed, rinse it under cold water. You can either leave it as is or wash it in the washing machine.Allow the clothing to dry.
Step 15: Dilute ammonia with water.
Ammonia should only be used on tough stains.Do not use this method on delicate fabrics.
Step 16: Allow the ammonia to sit on the stain for a bit.
The ammonia should be poured over the stain.Make sure the ammonia is only on the stain and the article of clothing.Allow it to sit for a while. If you get ammonia on an unstained portion of the fabric, rinse it and start the process over again.
Step 17: It is a good idea to wash with cold water.
The stain should let up after a few minutes.Under cold water, rinse the stain. If the stain isn't gone, repeat the process.
Step 18: You should wash in your normal way.
The clothes should be washed in the washing machine.Make sure to use cold water. If the stain isn't completely gone, you can use an enzyme detergent that is made for breaking down tough stains in place of your regular detergent.
Step 19: The clothing needs to be dry.
Don't put the clothing in the dryer after washing it because it will set stains.Allow it to dry.Store it as usual.Try another method if the stain is still there.
