Break in shoes.

When you land your next ollie, your new skate shoes need to feel good.There are a few tricks you can use to whip those shoes into shape.To prevent blisters when you break in your shoes, rub your heels and other places where the shoes rub too hard with a little petroleum jelly.

Step 1: If they don't hurt or feel stiff, put your shoes in for a while.

The majority of good skate shoes need to be broken slowly.If your new kicks don't hurt your feet much when you first get them, you can hit your skateboard deck and break them in like that.The cup sole variety is more flexible than the vulcanized soles.They can go straight to the skate park.Take the shoes off if they start rubbing or hurting.The gradual approach is what you should try.

Step 2: You can stretch out the stiff shoes by putting on thick socks.

New shoes can hurt your feet, so pull on your thick socks to protect yourself from blisters.layer 2 pairs of socks if you don't have thick socks.After you get your new shoes, you will probably have to wear thick socks.

Step 3: Put on your shoes and lace them up in a way that will stretch them right.

Tying your laces tightly might seem like a good idea, but unless you normally lace up your skate shoes tight, don't do it!To break in your shoes, you need to lace them up.If your skate shoes are slip-ons, don't worry.

Step 4: For 1-2 hours at a time, walk around in your shoes.

The thick socks make it possible for you to wear your shoes for 1-2 hours at a time without hurting you.Go about your normal business without shoes on.You don't have to do anything except move around in your shoes.It's a good idea to go up and down the stairs a few times.It is best to do this at the end of the day because your feet swell a little over the course of your day.

Step 5: Wear your shoes for a short while and switch to normal socks.

When the shoes start to feel good, change to normal socks.Put on your shoes and lace them up.Walk in them for 15-20 minutes at a time, and increase as they get more comfortable.If you can, do this 1-2 times a day.If they start hurting or rubbing, take the shoes off.

Step 6: You can mold your feet by wearing your shoes while you sit.

Wear your skate shoes all day if you work at an office and sit at a desk.When you're at home, watching TV, or surfing the web, put on your shoes.Even though you aren't walking, the shoes will still fit.Put on your shoes before you watch a movie.

Step 7: If you have blisters on your feet, apply petroleum jelly to them.

You may experience some rubbing when you first start wearing your shoes.If you want to prevent blisters, you should put on your shoes with a small amount on key spots.At the ankle line, low-tops rub the most.There is a little more cushion in mid- and high-tops.

Step 8: Wear socks that are thick so your feet don't get burned.

There's no harm in playing it safe, even if you don't need to worry about serious burns from a hairdryer.If you want to protect your feet from the heat, put on thick winter socks or layer 2 pairs of socks.thicker socks add more bulk to your foot and will help stretch out your shoes.

Step 9: Put on your shoes.

Don't tie your laces tight.If you put your shoes in the right places, you'll break them in.

Step 10: When the spots get warm and soft, use your hairdryer.

Put your hair dryer on high heat.You can hit the heels and ankle lines with the nozzle.Stand up and switch off the hair dryer when the shoes are warm and soft.There are areas on the shoes that feel painful.

Step 11: Walk around in your shoes.

Shift your feet as you walk to break in the shoes.Continue walking until your shoes are comfortable again.

Step 12: If the shoes are still not comfortable, walk around in them again.

You can heat your shoes again using your hairdryer.Walk around a bit more to stretch them out.This will make your shoes more comfortable.If they don't loosen up as fast as you'd like, you may need to work on one shoe or specific area at a time.

Step 13: You can put your shoes in the microwave as a last resort.

Some people have had luck doing this.Put your shoes in the microwave.Do 1 shoe at a time if necessary.Put on the shoes and walk around until they cool off.Don't heat your shoes in the microwave if they have metal on them.If you put metal components in the microwave, they can cause a fire.

Step 14: To protect them, remove the insufficiencies.

You definitely don't want to do this technique because it could damage the insoles of your shoes.Before proceeding, take the insoles out of the shoes.

Step 15: Put water in the plastic freezer bags and seal them.

Take the water out of the freezer bag.Seal the bag most of the way before squeezing out the air from the corner.You have 1 for each shoe if you repeat the process with another bag.If you are worried about leaking, place a second bag around the first one.

Step 16: Place a bag of water inside each shoe by removing the laces.

Pull the laces out to loosen the shoes.Make sure the freezer bag goes into the toe area by putting it in the first shoe.The bag should not be sticking out of the shoes.The process is repeated with the other shoe.

Step 17: The laces should be tied around the water bag.

You should wear the shoes you normally wear.Don't tie them tight.If you were wearing laces on your feet, make them as tight as possible.If you accidentally burst or puncture the bag of water, be careful.

Step 18: Place the shoes in the freezer.

Close the door and put your shoes on a flat surface inside the freezer.Leave them for 8 hours.As the water expands, it stretches out your shoes.Before you remove the bags from your shoes, let the ice thaw.
