The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs is the largest accreditor of health sciences professions.CAAHEP reviews and accredits over 2200 individual education programs in health science occupations.The Standards and Guidelines of each profession are assessed on an ongoing basis to assure that the accredited programs meet them.

The Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) recognizes CAAHEP.The Association of Specialized & Professional Accreditors is also a member of the CAAHEP.
