In order to request a vacation hold with the USPS, you'll need to use their hold mail service which is completely free and can be accessed: in person, online, and by phone call. What does running late on Amazon mean?

Can FedEx home delivery be put on vacation hold?
When you place a Vacation Hold, FedEx Express and FedEx Ground deliveries to your residential address are suspended for a date range you specify, up to 14 days. We'll resume normal delivery on the first business day after your specified end date.
