While a debit or credit card number can't be edited, a card can be removed from your account and then added again as a new payment method. Your account must have at least one payment method at all times. If you wish to delete your only payment method, you'll need to add a new one first.
Does Uber charge your card before or after the ride?
At the start of a trip, Uber may place a temporary authorization hold for the upfront fare of the trip on your payment method. This will show up as a “pending” charge on your account's payment method. When the trip completes, this authorization hold is converted to a charge for the final trip fare.
