Dog harnesses often have a flat clip. It doesn't conform properly to their neck and jowls, and they don't like having to step into the harness. The flat clips can be irritating for pigs, and the harness doesn't fit them so they can move freely.

Can pigs be walked on a leash?
Use a fairly short (10' or less) lead. Pigs in the wild are prey, and the only time they are ever restrained is by a predator, shortly before they become the entree. So when your piggy realizes he is restrained by the lead and harness, he may freak out. In a couple of days, he should be walking on the leash.
How do you measure a pig for a harness?

We use electric fencing for pigs - it is highly effective. Most of all, have what they want inside the fence and the scary things outside.
