Change the background color in a program.

You can learn how to change the background color in new and existing AdobePhotoshop files.

Step 1: Go to the Adobe website and open it.

Pick the color you want the background to be.

Step 18: Make a decision about your color choice.

The color picker can be used to adjust the color to the shade you want.

Step 19: Click on it.

Step 20: Hold onto the new layer.

The "Layers" window is in the bottom-right of the window.

Step 21: Release the click if the new layer is immediately above the background layer.

Click on it if the new layer is not highlighted.

Step 22: Click on the layer to open it.

There is a menu bar at the top of the screen.

Step 23: If you scroll down, you can click on the "Merge Down" button.

The "Layer" menu has it near the bottom.The color of the background layer should be what you chose.

Step 24: Open Adobe.

Click in the lower-right corner of the dialog box if you want to open the image file.

Step 26: On the workspace, either right click (Windows) or control-click (Mac) is required.

There is a dark border around your image.To see the workspace, you need to zoom out.To do it on either Windows or Mac.

Step 27: There is a color that you want to select.

Pick your color and click on if the options don't appeal to you.

Step 28: It's possible to open Adobe Photoshop.

Step 30: The quick selection tool is available.

Step 31: The foreground image needs to be placed at the top of the screen.

You can drag the image across the body.Click and drag small sections if the image is very detailed.Once you have selected a portion of the image, you can click at the bottom to increase the selection.Continue until there is a dotted line around your foreground image.Click on the "Subtract from Selection" brush at the top- left corner of the window if the Quick Selection Tool highlights an area outside the image.It looks like the quick selection tool, but has a minus next to it.

Step 32: You can click on the Refine Edge.

It is at the top of the window.

Step 33: Check for "Smart Radius."

There is a section called "Edge Detection" in the dialog box.

Step 34: The radius is adjusted by the left or right slider.

Make sure you pay attention to how it looks on your image.Click on when the edge is refined.

Step 35: Control-click on the background of the picture.

There will be a menu.

Step 36: Click on it to go to the other side.

It is at the top of the menu.

Step 37: Click on the layer.

There is a menu bar at the top of the screen.

Step 38: You can click on a new layer.

It is at the top of the menu.

Step 39: Click on the Solid Color.

Step 40: Click on it.

There is a drop-down menu.

Step 41: Click on the color you are interested in.

Pick the color you want the background to be.

Step 42: You can click on OK.

Step 43: You can refine your color choice.

The color picker can be used to adjust the color to the shade you want.

Step 44: Click OK.

The color of the background should be what you chose.You can save your changes by clicking on the menu bar or the drop-down menu.
