In the mobile app and on the desktop site, you can learn how to change your displayed name.Since Facebook only allows you to change your name a few times, it's a good idea to exercise caution.
Step 1: Go to Facebook.
The app has a white "f" on it.If you're already logging into Facebook on your phone or tablets, this will open the News Feed.If you don't have a Facebook account, you need to enter your email and phone number.
Step 2: You can tap.
It's in either the bottom-right corner of the screen or the top right corner.
Step 3: Go to settings and scroll down.
It is at the bottom of the page.You should skip this step on the phone.
Step 4: Go to Account settings.
You can take this option to your account settings page.
Step 5: There is a tap general.
On this page, it's the top option.
Step 6: You can tap your name.
Near the top of the screen is where you should see this.
Step 7: You can change your name.
You can type in your preferred name when you tap the field.
Step 8: You can tap on the review to change it.
There is a button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 9: There is a display option.
You can choose to have variations of your name displayed at the top of the screen.
Step 10: Go to Save Changes and enter your password.
The password will be entered in the text field above the button.You can change your name on Facebook.
Step 11: You can go to Facebook.
You can go to Facebook in your browser.If you're already a member of Facebook, this will load your News Feed.If you don't already have a password for Facebook, you need to enter your email address and phone number.
Step 12: Click if you want to.
The Facebook page has an icon in the upper-right side.Doing so leads to a drop-down menu.
Step 13: Click on the settings you want to modify.
It is near the bottom of the menu.
Step 14: You can click on the General tab.
The option is on the left side of the page.
Step 15: Click your name.
It is at the top of the page.
Step 16: You can modify your name.
You can change the name in the fields with your preferred name.
Step 17: Click to review the change.
The name section has a blue button below it.Clicking on it brings up a menu.
Step 18: You can choose a display option.

Step 19: Click Save Changes if you don't know your password.
The password will be entered in the text field above the button.You can change your name on Facebook.
