If you want to place the lilies in other parts of the garden, it's helpful to know how to move them.

Step 1: Late summer and early to mid-autumn is when you should wait.

This is a good time to change this variety of lilies.The leaves on the plant should have died off.The bulbs are not moving.

Step 2: Lift the clump out of the ground and divide it.

Move the rest of the place to their new homes in the garden.

Step 3: Plants are replanted.

Two-thirds of the bulb should be placed under the ground when returning the bulbs to ground.

Step 4: A new flower is emerging.

They won't flower the next season.The bulb might need time to recover from the disruption.Either the next year or the following year will see the return of flowers.

Step 5: The leaves of the lilies should die off.

It will be late spring and early summer.After the leaves are gone a shoot will appear very quickly.

Step 6: Take the clump out of the ground and divide it.
