Crossfade option in Apple Music on the App Store
Is the iPhone unable to distinguish between songs played on Apple Music?I've read that it's not possible, but I wanted to check since they were from last year and have not been updated.
There is a new post on Jan 13, 2021.

I think it is a slap in the face for Apple Music users like myself to have the ability to crossfade for up to 12 seconds. The crossfading function you have seen fit to give to users of Android devices is what the Apple Music users deserve.I am getting sick of paying for 2 music streaming services for use on my phone, when Apple Music is my favourite, just so I can have crossfading with it.

You want your Apple Music to fade between songs. We would be happy to give information.
You can choose to crossfade and the timing in the Playback tab on Apple Music. There are songs in Music on Mac.

It wouldn't be impossible for Apple to add crossfading to the Apple Music app.If it isn't added to iOS soon, I will say shame on you Apple for giving users of Apple Music something you should have given them first.

I have been waiting for this function for a long time.Next service will be a phone and a service for music.
The App Store has got rid of all the third party apps that would enable on the fly cross fading from the iTunes store.Control freak dry is the only reason that newer iPad / versions of iOS etc won't run software I already own.
Devices shouldn't be getting less useful with each reiteration, but Apple is managing it.

It's a bit drastic to say you're planning on abandoning your phone. Each reiteration has made the iPhone better. If Apple doesn't want to start haemorrhaging users of it's fantastic phones to Android devices because of something, then Apple Music might be added some time in the future. If crossfading isn't brought to Apple Music soon, I'm definitely thinking of dumping it and paying for 2 music streaming services every month.I love being a citizen of the Appleosphere but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth to see Apple Music users on other platforms get a feature that should have come to the iPhone first. If you are working on adding cross-compatibility to the Apple Music app, please let us know so we don't have to use our phones to listen to it.

It's based on the fact that I paid for software that could do what I wanted, and I'm pretty old.Cross fade on the fly.I want to buy my own songs and use them as I please.
I enjoy Apple Music but it doesn't do what I want it to do.I can't use the software I wanted to use with my old songs because apple is preventing me.
The only reason they didn't like third party apps was because of control freakery.
If you make your devices unable to do things that they could do previously, it's retrograde and weird.
I can no longer use my Apple devices to play music in function halls, so it isn't a case of me having a hissyfit, just a reality.

Everything you have said and understood has been taken on board by me.I don't think you should be accused of throwing an "hissyfit" about Apple not playing fair with those of us who choose to put our money in their bank account and not one of their rivals. Not one of my friends who were also mad keen Apple device users is still using tech made by Apple, one by one they have all abandoned Apple for various personal reasons and switched to tech running Android.I agree with one thing they all decided about Apple, that sometimes when we buy a piece of Apple tech it seems we are handing control of how we use whichever Apple device we have with us.I am willing to give them a bit longer to add the crossfading function in an update that is not too far away.It just doesn't make sense that Apple gave crossfading toAndroid users before those who spend their hard earned pennies on Apple products.I love my phone but can't help but feel like I'm missing something when I listen to my music on Apple Music without the annoying breaks between tracks.

Apple, please see your loyal users' wishes, otherwise...

I switched from Apple Music to Tidal because of this. It's like beating a dead horse trying to figure out why they won't add it.New apps made it easy to switch.I was able to keep all my music.Enjoying them as I intended.I encourage all of you to speak with your dollars and just leave the service if you're as dissatisfied as I was. There has been no real reason given for the purpose of this question.Let's move on.

If you don't know what Crossfading on App Music looks like, here's a sample from my Apple Music app that does let us use crazy.I am able to control my anger at Apple for not giving Crossfading to the OS but still can't be bothered to do the right thing. My relationship with Apple will end at the end of its limit.

Crossfade is even on Spotify. When leading apps and hardware have a simple option like Crossfade, why wouldn't IOS have it?

I have noticed in the past that it syncs the settings with Apple Music, Music Match and authorizations, but I am not sure if that is true.I have a vintage iMac HighSierra and iOs 14.4.1, so my tip might be outdated.
