Did you know that there are pine trees in Israel?

There are over 200 million trees in Israel.Medicial plants grow in profusion.There are fruit trees in January and April.The prickly sabra cactus and the acacia trees in the south take water from the desert.

Does Jerusalem have pine trees?People call it the Jerusalem pine because there are so many of them in and around Jerusalem.The ugly stuff is found all over Israel.Pinus halepensis is its biological name.I live in the northern part of Israel and have met many of these pine trees.

The reference is made to a pine tree which is said to produce fruit.It is difficult to say which pine is in the scriptures as the same word can be used for other evergreen trees.

In the Land of Israel, it can be found in Sharon, throughout the Galilee, on the Golan Heights and in the Hula Valley.The Kermes Oak is one of three species of oak that grow in the Land of Israel.
