There is a popular character from the Star Wars franchise.If you have long hair, it is easier to recreate her famous buns.If you don't like cinnamon buns, you can try her other hair styles, such as her braided ceremony bun, or the braided crown she wore during Empire Strikes Back.
Step 1: Take your hair out, then cut it in half.
If you have knots or tangles, comb through your hair.You can use the handle part of a rat-tail comb.Take the part from your forehead to the nape of your neck.This method is great for people with long hair.
Step 2: Take your hair out and put it in two pigtails.
Take the left side of your hair.Pull it up into a pigtail, which is about 2 inches above your ear.You can tie it off with a hair tie.The process should be repeated on the right side of your head.
Step 3: Take one pigtail and put it in a rope.
The other pigtail should be left alone.If you want a fancy bun, braid the pigtail and tie the end off with a hair elastic.
Step 4: Wrap the rope around the base of the pigtail.
After you coil it, Tuck the end of your hair under the bun.Princess Leia's buns are different from regular buns.They are the same shape as cinnamon buns.This is the effect you are trying to achieve.
Step 5: The bun needs to be secured with bobby pins.
The bun will fall apart if you don't have enough bobby pins.The plan is to use one bobby pin for every inch.It's important to use something that matches your hair color.Adding pins to the inside of the bun will help hold it together.

Step 11: You can make a set of socks.
You can find a pair of socks that match your hair color.Roll the socks from top to bottom to form a doughnut.Your buns will turn out too small if you don't have long socks on your ankle.
Step 12: You can put a pigtail through one of the socks.
Pull the pigtail through the bun first, then bring it to the end.The other bun should be on the side for now.
Step 13: The ends of your hair should be spread over the top of the sock bun.
The hair should be spread evenly.They should be tucked under the bun and the body of the pigtail.
Step 14: Roll the bun towards the base of the pigtail using both hands.

Step 17: The buns should be sprayed lightly with a spray gun.

Step 18: Put your hair in a ponytail.
Attach the ponytail with a hair tie.The hair going into a ponytail needs to be smooth.It works best on long hair.
Step 19: The ponytail needs to be split in half.
There should be a top section and a bottom section.Divide the ponytail using the handle of a rat-tail comb.
Step 20: The top half of the ponytail needs to be pulled through the bun maker.
The bun maker should be brought to the base of the ponytail.Take the hair out of the bun maker.A large bun maker will match your hair color.Bun makers look like doughnuts, but they are made out of netted material.
Step 21: The bottom half of the ponytail can be braided.
The bottom half of the ponytail should be split into sections.To get to the end of your hair, cross the left and right sections.The braid should be secured with a clear hair elastic.This part of the style is complete.If you have thin hair, gently tug on the outer loops of the braid to give it some volume.
Step 22: Put your hair over the bun maker.
Remove the upper half of the ponytail.To smooth the hair around the bun maker, use your hands.Pull the hair under the bun with a hair elastic.If you can't cover the bun maker completely with your hair, switch to a smaller size.
Step 23: The excess hair should be split into three separate parts.
After the previous step, your hair will be coming out.Pull your hair towards the back of your head.The hair should be split into three sections.
Step 24: Each section has been braided separately.
You should have three mini braids out of the back of your bun when you are done.The braid should be secured with a clear hair elastic.You should clip the other sections out of the way while you work on the braids.
Step 25: Wrap right braid around the top of the bun.
Take the right braid.Wrap it around the top part of the bun.The center of the bun should be visible.Tuck the end of the braid against the bun to secure it.Use pins that match your hair color.
Step 26: The middle braid needs to be wrapped around the bun.
Wrap the middle mini braid around the bun, just below the top braid.Make sure everything is secured with bobby pins by Tucking the end down.
Step 27: Wrap the last braid around the base of the bun.
Take the final braid.Wrap it around the base of the bun.The middle braid has a gap between it and your head.Tuck the tail under the bun.
Step 28: It's a good idea to set the style with plicol.
You are going to attend important ceremonies and award those who helped you.
Step 29: Make a deep side part by brushing and styling your hair.
As long as you made the part deep, it doesn't matter which side you part your hair on.You should level it with your eyebrow.If you have short hair, you can try this style.
Step 30: There are three sections to the hair at your head.
There is hair on the thicker side of the part.It should not be parallel to the part.It should be split into three parts.It should be no thicker than your finger.
Step 31: For 2 stitches, braid.
Cross the front strand under the middle one.This will be the beginning of your braid.If you don't cross the left and right strands under the middle one, you'll get a French braid instead.
Step 32: You can begin to braid your forehead.

Step 33: Continue through the braid towards the nape of your neck.

Step 34: You can do a regular braid by gathering the rest of your hair together.
The Dutch braid needs to be pulled from the other side of your head.A regular braid is used to finish off.If you want your braid to reach just past the part, it needs to be long enough to wrap around the side of your head.Continue Dutch braiding until you reach the part, then finish with a regular braid if you don't have long hair.
Step 35: The braid needs to be wrapped across the top of your head.
The braid should be against the inside edge of the Dutch braid.Tuck the tail-end of the braid underneath it, then secure everything with pins.Use pins that match your hair color.You may have to wrap the braid around your head a few times.This is fine; she had long hair.
Step 36: The style should be set with hairspray.
