You aren't required to complete assessments. However, keep in mind that some employers might only be willing to consider candidates that do. Plus, completing assessments helps showcase your skills to employers and let them know you're interested.

Though employers still look for evidence of those qualities in résumés, reference checks, and interviews, they need a fuller picture to make smart hires.

Employers do not have access to your Indeed Profile at all. This is kept completely confidential. They are not able to see other jobs you have applied for or any notes that you may have in your account.

What happens if you don't pass an indeed assessment?

An employer can make an assessment required in their application process, but applicants may/may not decide to go through with taking the assessment. In this case, applicants that don't complete or pass the assessment will be pushed to the bottom of your applicant list and grouped together as “other applicants”.

How do I redo an indeed assessment?

Go to the "Request a Retake" section in the contact form. If you're not already signed in, you will be asked to sign in. Select the Assessment you want to retake and click "Reset."

Can you retake an assessment test on indeed?

We currently don't allow candidates to retake assessments in order to preserve the integrity of our assessments. All assessment scores are valid for six months, and after this timeframe you'll be able to take the assessment once more if an employer requests it.

Do employers look at Indeed assessments?

Scores for Assessments that are sent to you by an employer can only be seen by that employer. They cannot share your scores with other employers. When you proactively take an assessment via your Indeed Profile, you will be able to see your score on your Profile and Resume (US only).

Are assessments on Indeed timed?

Indeed assessments are timed. You cannot remove assessments from your resume. However, you can hide an assessment if you want. Just click the toggle to the right, and employers will no longer be able to see it.

What are Indeed assessments like?

Indeed Assessments, on the other hand, are skills tests that candidates take after their job application is submitted. These assessments can give an applicant the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and experience in practice. Topics include typing, customer service, cognitive ability, etc.

Can you delete Assessments on indeed?

While you can't remove assessments from your Profile, you can control whether or not an assessment is visible to potential employers. On your Profile, scroll to the Assessments section and toggle off the visibility of your Assessment result. This makes your results private and hidden from potential employers.
