One can enter New Orleans along several major highways. I10 from the west comes down from Baton Rouge on an elevated highway above the marsh. Posted speed IS 60, but 70 is more common. Pretty much a routine urban dive, though crossing the high and long GNO Bridge (now "New Orleans Connection," silly).
