Composting without worms is possible and is easiest if you can build and use an outdoor compost bin. Whatever method you choose, composting requires a contained area, either a section of yard for a compost pile or a compost bin.

Where should I place my Subpod?
The Subpod will be fine in a shaded area, you will just need to choose plants that are suitable for shady conditions. If the Subpod is in a sunny position you will need to choose plants that like the sun :) If the soil is cooler, they will just slow down and be fine as long as the ground does not freeze.
