Where is Hatchbox PLA made?
Hatchbox filament is made in China.
How do I print PLA+?
While PLA/PLA+ can be printed on an unheated bed, for best results we recommend and a bed temp of between 50°C - 60°C. If poor adhesion is an issue, print the first two layers ONLY with the bed at 65°C (and 60°C for every subsequent layer).
What temperature should Hatchbox PLA be?
Based on the Hatchbox safety data sheet the melting point is 155 degrees Celcius. Based on our experience 180C to 210C is more of the sweet spot for this particular brand of PLA. Other things to factor into this include the complexity of the 3D object, type of 3D printer used, heated bed temperature, etc.

What is the best nozzle temperature for PLA?
To find the optimal nozzle temperature we recommend starting with a temperature right in the middle of the manufacturer's suggested settings. If the manufacturer recommends 190°C - 220°C, printing at 205°C is a good starting point. Based on the quality of the print we suggest adjusting ± 5°C at a time.
Is Hatchbox a good filament brand?
Overall, we really liked this filament, and enjoy printing with it. There were no large issues while printing and all of our prints came out very nicely. For those looking for a good 3D printing material at a low price point, we'd certainly include Hatchbox PLA on our list of recommendations.
Is Hatchbox a PLA plus?
Hatchbox does not offer any PLA+, but eSun does. eSun has many more colors of PLA+ filament than its regular polylactic acid filament. If you are looking for a lot of color choices with the ease of PLA with added strength and quality, then eSun's PLA+ filament is the best choice for you.

What is the difference between the PLA?
The main difference between ABS and PLA is the impact strength. The first one is considered to be more durable and resistant to stress than PLA. It's also more reliable when it comes to long term wear and tear. On the other hand, PLA, compared to ABS, is less toxic and easier to print.

What is the food PLA?
Polylactic acid, or PLA, is a bioplastic printing material derived from natural materials like corn, tapioca, and potatoes. You might therefore assume that it's safe because it comes from things we eat on a regular basis. In addition, the coloring in PLA signifies the presence of an additive that is not food safe.
