Does shipping cost depend on size or weight?
Your shipping price is based on either the dimensional weight (dim weight) or actual package weight—whichever is greater. (Dim weight reflects a package's density—that is, the amount of space a package occupies in relation to its actual weight.)
Does UPS calculate by weight?
UPS, FedEx, and USPS calculate a dim weight for their services and charge the greater of actual scale weight or dim weight to price packages, when applicable. To calculate, you will first determine the package dimensions in inches.
