A group known as RULA began development on high-tech experimental weaponry in a remote underground facility.The French government gave them funding to develop a weapon that would eliminate infections.The weapons included the Focus Rifle, Focus Prototype, and the Flamethrower.The facility's lower floors were flooded due to a collapse or explosion on the top floor.There is a note in the reactor room that says something about the flooding of the facility being caused by human error.
A plane crashed at Orly International at 1211 hours on February 23.The military was dispatched to stop the infections at the airport in under 7 minutes.Within 15 minutes, investigation units were dispatched.A soldier fighting the infection at Orly International was bitten by one of the others and was sent to the hospital in Paris.The soldier said he was bitten by the virus and was paranoid, but everyone ignored him.
The President of France broadcasted that the Greater Paris region had fallen to the disease and that anyone who wanted to stay should head to Verdun Air Base.On the day after, France authorized the use of flamethrowers.There were different behavioral properties of these flamethrowers created by RULA.The military began using RULA's flamethrowers to defend refugees.The Verdun Airbase fell after the infections broke through the defenses.
There were two refuge locations in the broadcast, one of which was the Marseille Stronghold.The militia group made a plan to sabotage the stronghold.They created a "dirty bomb" that turned the area around it into a dead zone.After the detonation by the unknown terrorist group, a small group of soldiers escaped on a Maelstrom boat, picking up civilians along the way to the fort.Due to the blast marks and scattered debris around one of the train cars, it can be concluded that the bomb was transported on a train.There is a note at Gare 17.
Flamanville Power was turned into a Deadzone Node due to the infections.Being a nuclear power plant, it had to be protected.The military went to the Flamanville Power Plant to make sure that no one got sick and caused the reactor to explode.The soldiers standing guard let their guard down due to the small amount of infections.When a large group of infections came through, the guards were overwhelmed and unprepared.They tried to shut down the reactor in order to ensure the safety of the surrounding areas.The plant operators were left defenseless.The reactor had a meltdown and the area around it became a deadzone after everyone at the plant became infectious.

There are 26 locations on the map.The map has a number of locations, including the Bay of Biscay, Bernard's Pond, Biarritz, Camp Ariege, and Chteau de Versailles.The locations listed are: RULA Facility, Jourdan's Fort, Lighthouse, North Tunnel Checkpoint, Train Station, Crashed Cargo Truck, Highway Construction, and Sunken WW2 French Supply ship.
There is a bay off the western coast of France.The Safezone Node is located on the island to the south of the map.

The location requires a Gasmask or Biohazard Hood to enter due to being a deadzone.The location was irradiated after the reactor at the power plant malfunctioned.There are tunnels from the reactor building.High-tier military-grade loot can be found in the tunnels.The two tunnels that lead into the room are behind the Large Fans and can have high-tier military loot.Military loot can be found in areas within the cooling towers witch.
Gare 17 is a converted farm that serves as a militia location.There is a note on a desk.
There are Ranger-grade loot at the location.
Paris is the capital and largest city in France.There are multiple buildings and landmarks.
There is a military checkpoint, a police fortification at the Louvre, and a small group of rangers on the Eiffel Tower.
The idea that the same group that caused the downfall at Marseille attempted a siege at the Louvre is supported by the loot inside and the police line out front.
The hospital is located west of Paris.The location has a lot of medical loot and has higher player traffic.
There is a small amount of police and military loot around the watchtower.This location has a high zombie population.
The airport is located west of the forest.The location has mostly civilian loot, but also has security loot and a small military loot.
There are a few statues at the main entrance road to the airport.There is a small road that leads to the terminal from the entrance road.
There is a single security checkpoint that leads to the rest of the airport.Two hangars, an air traffic control tower, a military tent, and a medical tent can be found outside next to the runway.
There is a helicopter at the south end of the runway.
At the southeast part of the map is Pont du Gard, an ancient Roman bridge monument.
There is no item or vehicle spawns at the location.It's a reference to a real-life monument of the same name.
It is connected to an island that has a boat and berry bush, as well as Civilian and Farmer spawns.
The main highway leading away from Paris is the location of the construction site.
There are a few weapons and Normal Engineer loot at this location.There are a few construction zombies that can be spawned here, with the addition of a chance for construction vehicles to do the same.
Some loot and food can be found at this location.The location has a small Security Loot Spawn.
The location of the Derailed Train is not known.It can be found on the rail path.
This location is good for gathering materials.There is a large population of zombies.
The Crashed Cargo Truck is located on a curve on the main high.The Cargo Truck is said to have gotten into a collision.The truck rolled over.
There is a single Militia/Ranger loot spawn here, which is most likely engineer/construction loot.
The RULA Facility is located just south of the deadzone.An open hatch on an empty island can be used to access the expansive underground tunnel system.
It is recommended that you have a Flashlight, Tactical Light, Military Nightvision, or Headlamp with you when you go to this location.
It is not possible to wear a lamp at the same time as a snorkel to allow enough oxygen for exploration.
This location has focus weaponry and high tier loot.These are only found in certain places.You should bring a Diving Tank and Snorkel if you are looking for these.It's not a good idea to bring a wetsuit for lots of loot gathering.
This is where the Focus Weapons can be found on the map and in the game.To get these rare weapons, a Snorkel and Diving Tank are required, as the distance to get to the focus spawns is large.You will drown if you don't have the diving items.
Her radio can be found atop the lighthouse on the ledge once she starts her quest.
There is a collection of military and civilian NPC's in this safezone.They fled in a Maelstrom while collecting a few civilians and ended up on the island.The area is only accessible by air or sea.
You will need to dive under the water surface to access this area.There is basic crafting material loot, but it appears to be an easter egg.
The tanks were being transported when they were sunk.According to notes aboard the ship, the French Char B1 tanks were sunk by the Germans in 1940.These tanks are just models but are likely to be part of the easter egg.
The Tunnel Checkpoints are located in the north and south of the map.
The South Tunnel has a small population of police zombies.This location is a great place to visit after a game, as it is close to some of the game's respawn locations.
There is a military location just east of Paris.The Mountain Road leads out of Paris into the East.There is a large population of military zombies.
The border of France and Germany is supported by the fact that there is a German and French flag at the collapsed tunnel.
This is the only place in the map where military items from Germany can be obtained.The German Military loot table can be found at the green tent, which is pale blue.There are some items exclusive to this location.
The Verdun Airbase was used to protect survivors from the disease.
Medical and civilian loot can be found in one of the hangars.The lore behind the Flamethrower can be found in a note.There may be a Mega Zombie here.
