Get rid of the bad Breath.

There are many reasons to cover up bad breath (halitosis), but if you want to get rid of it once and for all, take these instructions to heart... or should we say, mouth?

Step 1: You should brush your teeth at least once a day.

There are two major sources of mouth odor.The fertile landscape of your mouth contains hundreds of nooks and crevices where the offending bits of "rot" can get lodged.To use, squeeze a pea-sized amount of toothpaste onto a soft bristled toothbrush and hold the brush at a 45 degree angle to the gums.Being careful not to press too hard or irritate the gums is the best way to brush your teeth.It should take about three minutes to brush.Floss at least once a day and wash your mouth twice daily.You should brush all of your mouth, not just your teeth.

Step 2: Clean your tongue.

Step 5: If you chew gum, consider it.

The chewing action results in more saliva being produced.Some gums have better bad-breath-fighting abilities than others, and cinnamon flavoring seems to be especially effective in reducingbacteria counts in your mouth.Gum sweetened with Xylitol will cause more odor problems.Xylitol works to preventbacteria from replicating in the mouth.

Step 6: You should keep your mouth clean.

Step 9: Coffee and alcohol can be removed or reduced.

The chemical compounds in these beverages alter the environment of your mouth, making it favorable for odor-causingbacteria to thrive.If you don't want to stop drinking these beverages, you should rinse your mouth with water and then brush your teeth about 30 minutes after drinking them.It's a good idea to avoid brushing after drinking coffee or alcohol as the acid in the drink can make your teeth vulnerable.

Step 10: It's a good idea to eat some calories.
