Havertys furniture is good quality, is that?
My wife and I just bought a house and we are going to make it great. We found a similar bedroom set and leather match living room set at Havertys. Both stores are willing to match the price.I have two questions.
Does anyone have experience with leather? Is it a good idea to recommend or not?We found a reclining leather match set for $2900 and wondered if it was a good price for the three pieces.
I went to both stores to look for a BR set for my 3 year old, something that I wouldn't mind her chipping and scratching, because I usually buy higher quality stuff.I could get rid of her when she leaves for college. The Haverty's product seemed to be slightly better constructed, with wood veneer instead of particle board, better blocking in the corners, etc.I have a piece from another artist and it looks terrible after 2 years. It's definitely "disposable" furniture.
Are you considering buying better quality stuff that will last you longer? It's terrible to have to buy a new couch in 5 years.
We just bought a huge (11' in each direction) fabric sectional from Smith Brothers, with a lifetime guarantee, for $7k.I don't want to buy another sofa until I retire.
Havertys does not source from overseas direct, but does sell through a dealership type program, which is where the low end furniture quality comes from. It's like going to Dennys for a top sirloin steak dinner if you buy leather upholstery from Havertys.
