Hockey App for Android is being retired by the App Center.
HockeySDK will continue to work until November 13, 2020.HockeySDK will stop sending data after this date.To continue receiving crash data from your apps and to use in-app updates, make sure to upgrade your app to the App Center SDK versions before November 13, 2020.As your end users adopt new versions of your app, we recommend that you update the App Center SDK as soon as possible.
To use the App Center SDK instead of the HockeySDK, follow this documentation.Below are the guides for each platform.
The link of the format is forwarded to the App Center.Make sure the file format is correct.The latest version that was released to the "All users of AppName" distribution group will be returned.
The HockeyApp app id is the same as the app secret in App Center but without dashes.
HockeyApp feedback isn't supported by the App Center.See the feedback guide for potential alternatives.
HockeyApp transitioned to the Visual Studio App Center.Continuously building, testing, releasing, and monitoring your apps is possible with App Center.HockeyApp transitions are complete, but we extended the retirement of the HockeySDK to November 13, 2020, to give you more time to move to App Center.
The HockeySDK will stop sending data to the App Center Portal after November 13, 2020.Users will no longer receive in-app updates for these versions.
HockeySDK will affect all App Center services, including Diagnostics, Analytics, and Distribute in-app updates.
If you want to know if your app is using HockeySDK, you can either look into your codebase or check for dependencies.
We have created migration guides for each platform.The guides are listed at the top of the page.
Some of your customers are still using the old versions of the app if you migrated to App Center.Unless these customers upgrade to the app version with App Center SDK, you'll stop receiving data from them after November 13, 2020.
Most feature parity gaps with the HockeySDK have been closed by the App Center team.We don't intend on investing more in closing the gaps.
