How can a refrigerator be transported laying down?
You can.It will be fine if you leave it standing for as long as it was laying before plugging it in.If it is more than a day, it can be 24 hours.
When I needed one, I asked my a/c guy this question, but no one was available in my area.He is a handy guy and has a compressor that keeps the fridge cold.It must be upright for at least as many hours as it was lying down before you plug it in.
It's not the best for the fridge, but if you have to lay it down for a short period of time, then keep it upright and plug it in.The gas has to come out of the compressor.
You need to keep the freon vertical for 24 hours before plugging in and running if you have one lying down.
The fridge should sit upright for at least 2 hours before you plug it in.
