The Eddie-Bolt® 2 pin is designed with five flutes in the upper portion of the threaded area. Torque is applied, and upon reaching the required clamp load, the lobes automatically deform into the flutes of the Eddie-Bolt® 2 pin.

A LockBolt is a two-piece fastener that consists of a hardened metal pin and a metal collar that swages into the grooves of the pin, forming a specific, measured clamp force to hold assembled parts together.

How LockBolt are installed?
Lockbolt installation is relatively simple. A pin is placed through the pre-drilled holes to join two pieces of material. The pin has a head chosen to suit the application, such as a rounded head, countersunk head, or extra wide head for softer material to prevent pull-through.
