QR codes can be scanned when adding new devices to your Ring Alarm, or you can enter the 5-digit code manually. You'll find these codes on every Contact Sensor, Keypad, Range Extender and Motion Detector. These codes can usually be found on the rear of devices, as shown in these sample images below.
How do you enter a code on a ring keypad?
- In the Ring app, open the menu.
- Make sure you're on the right Location, then tap Location Settings.
- Tap Users.
- Tap the User that you would like to change.
- Tap Personal Access Code.
- Enter a four-digit code, then re-enter the code.
- Tap Save.
Can ring alarm have multiple codes?
Ring Alarm has a limit of 256 access codes. This includes owner, shared user, guest user, and duress codes.
