How do I schedule a NasM exam?
To become a certified personal trainer, you must pass the exam.The exam was only administered in-person at one of our many locations.We're here to help during uncertain times.Students who can't take their test in person due to COVID-19 will be able to take the exam online.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, there is very limited availability of hands on skills assessments.The hands on skills assessment requirement will be temporarily waiving.The waivers apply to exam candidates and professionals.
Until the CDC and government recommendations for social distancing have been lifted in the United States, this waiver will be in effect.There will be a 60 day window before the hands on requirement is restored.
The hands-on skills assessment should be obtained by anyone who has been certified or recertified during the Waiver Period to avoid any insurance or liability issues which could arise due to the lack of such training.

You will be able to print a temporary certificate from your Account Page after you pass the exam.An official certificate will be mailed to you after you pass the exam.
You can purchase a retest if you don't pass the exam.Candidates who fail the certification exam on the first try will be allowed to take the exam again after a week.After the second attempt, the candidate will have to wait 30 days to take the exam again.Candidates will have to wait a year before attempting to take the exam again if they fail three times in a row.
If you need to change or cancel your exam appointment, log in to the testing platform.You can change or cancel a booking at any time before the exam starts.If you have to change or cancel your exam appointment, you should call PSI at least 24 hours before the exam starts to avoid being charged a late cancellation fee.If you don't show up for an exam appointment, it will be treated as a failed attempt and you will not be entitled to a refund.
20 of the 120 test questions are research questions that don't count toward or against the final score.You have 2 hours to pass with a score of 70 or better.

Yes.Depending on which package you purchased, you may have 1 or more practice exams available to you.The practice exam can be found via the student portal.

The exam scores are not released by NASM.Yardstick will give you a score report if you pass or fail the exam.
Measure registration email will allow you to schedule your exam.This is usually no more than 3 business days after signing up.You can schedule your exam online by logging into the testing platform with your established login credentials.You will have to schedule your exam appointment at least 72 hours in advance.
If you need to change or cancel your online exam appointment, you will have to access your Measure account.Clicking on "Exams" at the top of the page will allow you to log into your profile.You can transfer or withdraw your booking underneath the exam.
You can cancel a booking up until the minute before your exam date.If your exam start time has expired, you will not be able to cancel or rescheduling, and you must call the NASM Member Services.
If you don't show up for your exam, your eligibility will be revoked.There may be additional fees that apply.
