Size and weight determines shipping costs. We recommend FedEx Ground services as the cheapest option. Roll the rug and secure it with rope or tape. If the rug is 6 x 9 or larger, you will need to employ one of the fold and roll techniques.

Does UPS charge for weight or size?
With the exception of UPS Ground with Freight Pricing packages, Large Packages are subject to a minimum billable weight of 90 pounds (40 kgs). An Additional Handling charge will not be assessed when a Large Package Surcharge is applied.
Does shipping cost depend on size or weight?
Your shipping price is based on either the dimensional weight (dim weight) or actual package weight—whichever is greater. (Dim weight reflects a package's density—that is, the amount of space a package occupies in relation to its actual weight.)
What is the least expensive way to ship a package?
- Small, light items packed into padded mailers are cheapest when shipped by USPS.
- Small, heavy items are cheapest when shipped using USPS flat-rate pricing.
- Large, light items are cheapest when shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Is it cheaper to send a 5 pound package USPS or UPS?
If you need a large flat rate USPS Priority Mail box, make sure it's heavier than 5 lbs. Otherwise, FedEx or UPS Ground will always be cheaper. If your item is heavier than 5 lbs, try to fit everything into a USPS priority mail flat rate large box. Otherwise, Fedex and UPS will be cheaper for heavier packages.
Does UPS charge by weight or size?
