A dedicated hydraulic hose cutter is the best tool for this job as it will cut the hose at 90 degrees and will not crush or deform the hose in the process. Using gear cable cutters is possible but will usually crush the hose as it cuts. A Stanley knife blade can also be used to obtain a clean cut.16 oct 2019
