How do you fix a gap between a window and frame?
We bought a house.There is a gap above the window when the owner puts in new windows.It could be a 1/2 inch.Does anyone know how to fix that?
Another question.The attic floor and the beams holding it up are damaged.Is there a website that can help me find a way to fix it?
Is there a gap above the glass?Is it above the frame?caulk and paint could be above the frame.Other gaps have other solutions.
What is the nature of the damage to the attic?You can sister wood to either side.
The foam should expand inside to the gap and fill in the cracks.Dry rot can set in around the window if water has already caused mold.If the area around the window is dry, be on the lookout.The foam can be used.After the foam has dried and setup, what the product says to do is spray the area with a garden hose and see if it's sealed.
