How many hours do you brush a day?
The natural Curls of the hair have been trained to lay down all the way around the head for the full 360 degrees.People shorten the term and call it waves. The hair is cut short and special brushing techniques are used to create waves in the hair.
If your hair gets curly, you have what it takes to get waves. The texture of the hair plays a part in how big or small the waves will be.Caucasians, as well as any other ethnic group, can have waves, but with patience and many weeks of "wolfing" (a term that refers to the amount of time you take from haircut to haircut), anyone with naturally curly hair.
The length of the hair is also important.I usually start with a one-inch haircut and a guard on the clippers.I would start with a higher haircut if your hair does not start curling until it is at least 1" long. You have to grow your hair out to get the best waves. For at least four weeks, it is recommended to grow a wolf.To wave up, you need hair to lay down and train. There is no wave without length. The deeper the wave, the longer the hair is.
Take care of your hair.If you use an all-in-one product, you should use a separate shampoo and conditioner.I use an olive oil cleanser and conditioner.
The brushing of your hair is even more effective if it is conditioned. If you wash out the natural oils in your hair, you should cleanse once or twice a week.If you don't wash your hair on certain days, you should just lay a hot, wet washrag on your head.
If you want to speed up the waving process as well as give your hair hold as it lays down, you need to put some type of product in the hair.I use Luster's S-curl Curl Activator and Hollywood Best Olive Cream. At the beginning of my wolfing stage, I use the curl activator whenever my hair feels dry.I use a dime-size amount of olive cream before I go to sleep.Cantu Shea Butter Pomade is great if you like pomade, as it has a good hold and smells incredible, but I don't recommend it.
The most important step for getting waves is this. You should brush as much as you can.You should embrace your brush. It will be your best friend.
Start from the crown of your head.I prefer to use a WavEnforcer 544 but any hard, medium, or soft bristle brush will work.I brush for at least an hour a day.Since I have a large head, I do the back of my head in two sections, right and left.
Tie a durag on your head after brushing.Simple.Add a wave cape if you think you need more compression. If you want to do the steps in the morning, I would put it on for at least 30 minutes and continue to wear it at night.
You can keep your hair strong and healthy by doing some extra maintenance.
