How many people left Egypt in the exodus, according to the Bible?

Go up close and listen to the Almighty. We will do everything he says if he comes back and tells us.The bible says, "CEV."

God promised Abraham that he would have more descendants than the stars in the sky.The descendants of Abraham were slaves in Egypt for over 400 years. The ruler of Egypt was Pharaoh.Pharaoh was told by God to let God's people go.What did Pharaoh say to God?No!

Pharaoh wouldn't listen to God.The land of Egypt was ravaged by plagues. Why did he do that?God was showing his power. The Egyptians worshiped a lot of false gods.Repeatedly God proved his power and might. Some of the Egyptians believed in God.But Pharaoh wouldn't.

The worst plague that God sent was the last one.The firstborn child of every family and animal was killed by the death angel. There wasn't a household in Egypt without someone dead, according to the Bible.Pharaoh summoned Moses and told him to leave Egypt. This is what God said would happen. The people left in a hurry.Jewish people still celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread because their bread did not rise.

In the middle of the night, 600,000 people left Egypt.God did not lead the people through enemy land.He led them through the desert to the Red Sea.The people of God were led by a pillar of clouds and fire. They would be reminded that God was with them every step of the way as they traveled to the promised land.

Do you know what God has given us so that we can know that God is always with us?The Bible was something the Israelites didn't have.

To be sure of His presence, look to the Word of God.TheHebrews looked to the pillars of cloud and fire to know that God is with them.

The people were told to go toward the Red Sea.Pharaoh was going to chase after the Israelites because God told him to be stubborn. The Egyptians would know that God was the true God when he did something amazing.

According to the Bible, God hardened Pharaoh's heart. The Bible states that Pharaoh would not listen to God and that God hardened his heart. We must always be ready to listen to God.The hardening of a heart is a process. It is possible for a person to go to a place where they can't listen anymore.

Pharaoh changed his mind after the Israelites left Egypt because he was upset that he had freed all of his slaves.God said it would happen. The best chariots were sent by Pharaoh.

The king of Egypt was told that the people had left.Pharaoh and his officials changed their minds about them. They asked, what have we done? The people of Israel have been let go.We have lost our slaves and all of the work they used to do for us.

It looked like an IMPOSSIBLE situation when Pharaoh's army came after the people. The sea was to the east. The mountains to the south and west were occupied by the army of Pharaoh.

They asked, "Why did you bring us to the desert to die?"Is there any graves in Egypt? What did you do to us when you brought us out of Egypt? We told you to leave us alone. It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert.

The people were afraid. They were blaming him for being trapped. The interesting thing to note is that they were led to this place by God.He was going to show the world his amazing power.

He answered the people's questions. He told them not to be afraid.Stand up.The Lord will save you today.Do you see the Egyptians? You won't see them again. The Lord will fight for you.Just be still.

Say: Wow!Do you think it would be difficult to stand still in this situation?Listen to what God said.

The Lord spoke to him.He asked why you were crying out to him.The people of Israel should be told to move on.Don't let your wooden staff out.To get rid of the water, reach your hand out over the Red Sea.The people can go through the sea on dry ground.

The Lord told Moses to stop praying. There is a place for prayer and action in our lives.Sometimes we know what to do, but we want more guidance so that we don't do it.It is time to move if we know what to do.

The hearts of the Egyptians will be made stubborn by me.They will go after the people of Israel.I will get glory for myself because of what will happen to Pharaoh's army, chariots and horsemen.

I am the Lord and the Egyptians will know it.I will get glory because of what will happen to them. The Bible says that there was an event called "exclamation point."

I told you earlier that the Lord had placed a pillar of clouds and fire to lead the people by day and night. The pillars were moved so that the cloud would bring darkness to one side and light to the other. Both armies went near the other all night.

He reached out over the Red Sea.The sea was pushed back by the Lord. The sea was turned into dry land. The waters parted.Israel went through the sea on dry land. There was a wall of water on both sides.Exodus 14:21-22

There was no apparent way to escape, but the Lord opened a dry path through the sea.We see no way out when we are caught in a problem.Don't worry; God can open up a way.

Is it possible to walk across the Sea with a wall of water on each side?Do you think the kids got wet?Do you think it was exciting?Scary?

They were chased by the Egyptians. The horsemen followed the horses and chariots into the sea.

The pillar of fire and cloud was seen by the Lord at the end of the night. He panicked when he saw the Egyptian army. The chariot wheels were kept from turning. The chariots were hard to drive.

The Egyptians said to get away from the people. The Lord is fighting for Israel.

The Lord spoke to him.He told them to reach out over the sea.The waters will return to the Egyptians and their chariots and horsemen. The sea returned to its place at sunrise. The Egyptians ran away from the sea. They were swept into it by the Lord. The chariots and horsemen were covered by the water. The people of Israel were followed into the sea by the entire army of Pharaoh. Not a single Egyptian was left. The story of Genesis 14:23-28.

God had sent plagues to the people of Egypt. They were given many chances to listen and obey. They didn't listen to God after their firstborn sons were killed. They died because of chasing after the Israelites. There are consequences for people who don't listen to God.Disobedience leads to punishment.

The people were delivered by God.God saved them even in an impossible situation. All glory and honor belongs to Him!

God knew that Pharaoh was not willing to admit his sins and that his heart was hard towards Him.From the time we are born, our hearts are very hard towards God.The Bible says the heart is wicked.God is pure because of your sin.God loves you despite your sin.The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross to take away your punishment for your sins.Your sin doesn't have to keep you away from God.You can be forgiven if you believe in him.Pharaoh didn't believe in God.He didn't listen to Him.God knew what he would do about the Hebrews leaving Egypt because his heart was hardened. The Child Evangelism Bible has a lesson on crossing the Red Sea.

The fact that the Egyptians followed the Israelites into the sea is the most difficult thing for me to believe.Think of this for a second. It's better for an army to stay out of an ambush. There is a serious concern of being trapped in the middle by your opponent when an army is faced with an enemy ahead and barriers on both sides.Even worse, if you were to see the sea parted by the God of your adversary, would you be willing to capture the people God was aiding to escape? There are only two possible explanations for the entrance of the Egyptians into the sea.

It is possible that the Egyptians entered the sea without even knowing it.We wouldn't entertain this possibility due to our own preconceived ideas of what happened.I don't know of anyone else who has come to this conclusion, so I would caution you to think critically. There are several observations that make this an option that must be dealt with.

We were not told that the Egyptians were entering the sea.We are told that they entered the sea, but we don't know if they knew about it.The time of the passage through the sea was late at night for both the Egyptians and the Israelites. It was 14:20 on 24 and 27.The pillar that gave light to the Israelites promoted darkness for the Egyptians. The Egyptians could not see the sea in the light provided by the pillar. It wouldn't make sense for the Egyptians to enter the sea knowing that God had parted it for them. The Egyptians seem to be guided by the Israelites. The Egyptians were on the run.The Egyptians followed the footsteps of the Israelites. It would be easy to follow the tracks of 2 million people. The Egyptians were focused on the object of their pursuit, not the scenery around them. You don't see what you are not looking for. There was no evidence that the Egyptians were in the midst of the sea.Can you imagine the horror of the Egyptians when they first realized where they were? They got in over their heads this time.
