Does VSP pay lenses?
You still get a $150 allowance, which you can use to purchase contacts and the contact lens exam (see question above). Once you have your contact lens fitting exam, your VSP network doctor will let you know what types of contact options are available to you.

Who is in the VSP network?
With over 36,000 providers, VSP has the largest independent eye care provider network in the United States. Doctors located at (some) private practices, Visionworks, Pearle Vision, Accuvision, Walmart, Costco, Rosin Eyecar, MyEyeDr, and EyeCare Centers are typically in-network with VSP.
Walmart customers can use their VSP and EyeMed insurance plans at Walmart Vision Centers, but should be aware that these visits are considered out-of-network.
Is Costco a VSP premier provider?
Costco does accept VSP and EyeMed vision insurance at some warehouse locations as of 2022, in addition to most other major insurance plans. If customers need a vision test, new glasses, or other vision care, you can get it covered by VSP and EyeMed insurance at Costco.
What does Premier program mean?
Premier Program means the group purchasing programs conducted by Premier LP and its Related Entities, pursuant to which Premier Members are entitled to purchase Products and Services under the terms of the Premier Program Contracts negotiated with Vendors.
