What should sod look like when delivered?
Check your new sod thoroughly to make sure it has the right moisture, thickness and proper color. Keep in mind that healthy sod exhibits dense foliage with a uniform green hue. Why is sod delivered at night?
Farms LIKE to deliver over night when there is less traffic to deal with. If you live in a gated community or if you request a day drop they usually can accommodate you. Most sod farms prefer to deliver to the curb of your street. This reduces the likelihood of breaking things like your driveway or your irrigation.
