If the other computers are Macs or have Windows operating systems, your Macintosh computer can access them.To access other Macs, you need to change your user privileges on the network.You need to know your Windows administrator's profile information, as well as the name of the Windows workgroup that contains the files you want to access, in order to get access to Windows computers.
Step 1: The network administrator's password is used to log in to your Mac.

Step 7: The Apple Filing Protocol can be enabled.
Your personal Mac will be able to access the files you have designated from the administrator's computer.The Sharing Preferences window has a "Options" button in the bottom right.You can share files and folders with this option.
Step 8: The process can be completed by clicking on the "Done" button.
You will be able to return to your personal Mac and access the files you gave yourself.
Step 9: You can open the "System Preferences" from the Apple menu.
Step 10: Click on "Network Preferences."
You will be able to set up and modify your access to Windows computers through this menu.
Step 11: The lower- left section of the window has a padlock icon.
If the padlock is locked, click on it and enter the password for the Windows network administrator.
Step 12: You can enter "Workgroup" into the search field.
Step 13: You can type a unique name for your Mac computer.

If your Mac is located in an office environment with multiple server, you may need to enter specific IP addresses into the "WINS Servers" field.You will need to get the addresses from the Windows network administrator if this is the case.
Step 15: Click on the "OK" button if you want to apply.

Step 16: Wait for the Windows workgroup to show up on your Mac.
The network will link your Mac to the Windows folder in a few minutes.All of the files in the Windows folder can be accessed from your Mac.
