If you want to use your phone in your home, you have to get a sim card for it.
Step 1: Make sure you have your receipt.
You'll be asked to provide information from the receipt during the activation process.
Step 2: You can open the "Phone" app on your phone.
The app icon is on your phone's home screen.You may have to bring up the dial pad with a tap or image of a keypad.
Step 3: You have to enter the activation number.
Pick up the phone, then tap the "Call" button.You can call this number from your phone.
Step 4: Follow the voice instructions.
The steps may be different depending on the phone you're using.
Step 5: The call needs to be completed.
Your sim card is active once you've finished the call.In most cases, you don't need to replace the physical sim card.If you have to switch out your phone's sim card, make sure that you turn it off before you take out the tray or slot on the back of the phone, and replace it with your new one.
Step 6: You can open the website.
Go to www.verizonwireless.com.
Step 7: You have to sign into your account.
You can enter your phone number and password in the appropriate fields on the left side of the page.If you are already signed into your account, skip this step.Clicking on the top-right side of the page will open this page.
Step 8: Click the device you want to use.
There's a tab at the top of the page.You can bring up your phone by doing that.
Step 9: You canACTIVATING my phone by scrolling down and clicking.
Under the "Learn About My Device" section, "PHONE" is usually replaced with your phone's manufacturer and name.
Step 10: Click the button if you scroll down.
There is a section called "Get started with a new sim card".
Step 11: You can choose your phone.
Click beneath the phone for more information.
Step 12: Enter your phone number.
The "SIM ID" text field is near the bottom of the window.The number should be on the receipt or the card itself.If you already own a phone, follow the instructions in the middle of the page to find the number.
Step 13: Click on the card you want to check.
It is to the right of the "SIM ID" field.
Step 14: Follow the instructions on the screen.
Your actions will vary depending on your phone type and card.You should be able to use your phone once you've completed the on-screen setup.Make sure that your phone is turned off, then remove the current sim card from the tray on the side of the phone or the back of it, and replace it with your new one.
