If you have short hair, sculpted waves can be fun.You need a blow dryer, hair gel, and comb. You can gently sculpt waves on either side of your head by segmenting your hair first. You can use a blow dryer after you're done.
Step 1: Start with the center part.
Use a fine toothed comb to form a part in the center of your head. When it's dry, cut your hair.If you want your sculpted curls to look neater, try to get your part as straight as possible.
Step 2: Small horizontal parts can be created.
You want to create horizontal lines on either side of your head.Curls will be created within the sections created by these lines. To start, you need to create a horizontal line from your ear to the side of your head.It doesn't matter if you start on the left or right side. You would use your comb the same way you would create a part.Make a horizontal line from the edge of your hair to the part at the center. The hair should be clipped on the top half of the head.It will not be in the way.
Step 3: Gel should be added to the first section of hair.
The hair that falls beneath the first horizontal line should be treated with a generous amount of sculpting gel or foam. You can use your fingers to apply the product to your hair.
Step 4: This pattern moves upward.
Move your comb away from the first line.To keep hair out of the way, secure the hair above the line with hair clips.Below the second line, add gel to the hair.Continue making lines until you reach the center part.
Step 5: On the other side repeat.
Go to the other side of your head.Start by running a line up from your ear.Use your fingers to apply gel after securing the hair above the line.Continue to make lines that are an inch apart until you reach your center part. The hair on your head should be separated into horizontal lines by the time you're done.
Step 6: Curl shapes with your fingers.
You can change the shape of your hair with a comb and fingers.Start with the top of your head.Next to the part line, press your finger down.Curl a small segment of hair around your finger with a comb.Remove your finger. This ringlet should be held in place by the gel.
Step 7: You should secure your hair with pins.
You should secure your ringlets with hair pins if the gel doesn't keep them in place. The gel will be allowed to set more.Use your fingers and a fine toothed comb to create ringlets.Put the pins in place when you're done.
Step 8: Down both sides of your head, repeat this pattern.
Curls are created in each section when you work your way towards the center part. The first sections you created were located near the top of your ear.The ends of your hair are prone to damage and should not be curled.Tuck your hair at the ends.
Step 9: It's a good idea to set the look with hair spray.
Enhancing the look of each section is important.Hold the bottle close to your head and apply a generous amount. It's a good idea to wear goggles or something else to protect your eyes as you apply hairspray at close range.
Step 10: Blow dry your hair.
Blow dryer is used to dry hair after it is curled. You should always be gentle when drying hair, so use the lowest setting.Once the gel has hardened, blow dry your hair. You can use a blow dryer, but sitting under a hooded hair dryer will reduce frizz.
Step 11: The pins need to be removed.
It's now possible to remove the pins from your hair. The look should be set if the gel has hardened. If you don't engage in a lot of vigorous activities, it should hold well.On occasion, you may want to add hair spray.
Step 12: Leave your hair out.
If you have bangs, don't try to flatten them with gel or push them apart with your side part. It's okay to let your hair down.Curling bangs can be difficult as they are so short, and they may look awkward.
Step 13: Don't overwork your hair.
It's easy to damage short hair.If you have time, try to get your hair in place quickly. To prevent your hair from becoming messy during the sculpting process, try to work as quickly as possible.
Step 14: Blow drying should be avoided.
Short hair is more vulnerable to damage from blow drying than long hair.If you have to blow dry your hair, do it as soon as possible. If you blow dry your hair, it should be 50% dry.Your hair should be dry for the other half.
Step 15: As necessary, use as little gel as possible.
You will need to add more gel for sculpting. If you want your hair to be shapeable, add as much as you need.Short hair can look greasy from too much gel.
