Step 1: Take some weapons.
Before you play Skeletron, make sure that you are at least a week old and know how to survive the night.This will make you ready to defeat the Skeletron.You will need a few weapons, armour, and health items.There is a set of armour.The helmet, breast plate, and boots are included.If you're fighting Skeletron, try to have a better level of armour than wood.You can increase your health by finding some heart crystals.When your health becomes low, you should keep at least 5 health Potions.While fighting the boss, hit the H key.There is a potion.Keep at least 5 of these and press the M key to level them up quickly.It is used for magic and health for your heart.Bombs.At least 5 of them should be thrown at the Skeletron.These can be found in vases and chests around the world.There is a sword.Don't use a wooden sword.If you can find a zombie arm, it will be dropped from zombies.During the night, zombies are easy to defeat.There are rocket boots.Depending on how experienced you are, you may not be able to find these.You can get these with five gold coins if you find the Goblin Tinkerer in the caverns.
Step 2: Wait until the night comes.

Step 3: Go to the dungeon.
The dungeon should be located to the left or right of the jungle after a few hours.An old man should be found in the entrance door.You can curse him or summon Skeletron.If you have some Ironskin Potion, don't forget to take it!
Step 4: The Skeletron can be attacked.
The Skeletron should take some damage from bombs thrown at it.Aim for Skeletron's arms as they create the most damage.Don't run into the arms or the head with your sword.The Skeletron misses you when you back up and move.When the head spins, try to avoid it as it takes the least damage from you as well.Bombs can hurt you along with Skeletron so be careful when they are thrown.
Step 5: You need to collect your reward.
You will get a trophy, money, and health/mana after you finish the boss fight.You should return to your home after that.You have defeated Skeletron.
