How To Box a Table

A good way to make a table look great is to boxing it.How to fold and level the tablecloth is all you need to know.If you want to make your tables look professional, try practicing your table boxing skills.

Step 1: The tablecloth needs to be the right size.

When boxing a table, it's important to use a tablecloth that is the right size.When finished, a tablecloth that can't fully cover the table will not look right.Measure your table and use a tablecloth that fits to get the best results.The table needs to be covered with a tablecloth to reach the floor.A table that is 70" wide and 180" long will need a tablecloth with a width of 128" and a length of 238"

Step 2: Put the cloth over the table.

You need to place a tablecloth over the table before you can box it.Just yet, you don't need to be exact.The table cloth can be thrown over the table.

Step 3: Even up the sides of the tablecloth.

You can level the cloth on each end once the tablecloth has been placed over the table.The tablecloth should cover the table evenly, with both ends having the same length of cloth.The edges of the tablecloth should hang at the same length.The ends of the table should be the same length.The lower edges of the tablecloth should be touching the floor.

Step 4: Level the back of the cloth.

Guests will most likely notice the front side of the tablecloth.The front edge needs to be level along its length for this reason.Neither side should be higher than the other.Make sure the front, lower edge is level with the floor by taking a few moments.The cloth should not touch the floor.The rest of the table can be unleveled if the front edge is not level.

Step 5: Place the front corner with your left hand.

Stand on one edge of the table and use your left hand to secure the left corner.To hold the cloth in place, use your pointer and middle fingers.The table cloth should be held at this point to prevent it from shifting.

Step 6: The lower right corner needs to be lifted up.

If you reach down with your right hand, you can grab the lower corner of the tablecloth.If you have the lower right corner of the cloth in your hand, you can put it over the table top.Stand against the table and hold the rest of the cloth in place.To get a good line in the fabric, pull the cloth tight.The corner of the table needs to be in a straight line.

Step 7: The table should be brought across the lower right corner.

The lower right corner of the tablecloth should be moved over the table surface.The center of the table's front edge is where you are going to put this corner of cloth.When boxing a table, you need crisp lines and folds.The corner should end in the center of the table top.If it looks messy, don't worry.There is still time to fix the tablecloth.Pull the cloth tightly to ensure a clean fold.

Step 8: The side of the tablecloth needs to be adjusted.

It's a good idea to make adjustments to the side of the tablecloth before you box the table.When you're done, it will be this way if it's crooked or unleveled.The side of the tablecloth you started on needs to be adjusted.The tablecloth should be level with the floor.If you can, place the bottom edge of the tablecloth above the floor.

Step 9: To adjust the top, hold the right corner.

Go to the back of the table and hold the corner you lifted up in place.From here, you can begin adjusting the cloth on the top of the table and generally making it lay as flat as possible.To prevent the tablecloth from falling down and ruining your work, hold the table cloth with one hand.To work out folds, gently wave the top section of cloth.Pull the cloth to fix the problem.The tablecloth should be kept level with the ground.

Step 10: The side should be brought back down.

The top of the cloth can be folded back down.Lift the corner from the top-center edge of the table and fold it down to the right hand corner.When boxing this side of the table, this is the last fold you need to do.Hold the right corner of the tablecloth in place while you fold the top over to meet it.You can still make adjustments if the edge doesn't line up.

Step 11: Make final adjustments.

You can make your final adjustments now that table boxing is complete.The edge of the tablecloth needs to line up with the table.If you notice any folds, remove them.When you are done, the tablecloth should be completely flat.

Step 12: Do the other side of the table.

Now that you have folded the table, you can move on to the other side.The sides should be folded the same way to give the tablecloth a clean look.To box the table, follow the same steps on the opposite end.
