How to build a puzzle and game table using templates and pictures.

Do you like spending time with your family putting together puzzles?It takes days or even weeks to put together a jigsaw puzzle, leaving your kitchen, dining or coffee table unfinished.You have company coming over and you need to clean your house, but you don't want to have to remove the unfinished puzzle.They make felt puzzle mats that can be placed under the puzzle in case you need to roll it up and put it away, but that doesn't help when it comes to a neat and organized space.

We offer build plans for this table design as well as custom made tables for those who can't build their own.

We have not done a jigsaw puzzle in a long time because I don't want a puzzle to be left out on the dining room table.I told Mr.DD that I wanted to build a puzzle game table.I had a vision in my head that I needed to explain to Mr.DD.The puzzle game table turned out great and we had to change a few plans along the way.

My plan was to put stools under the table so you could sit and work on the puzzle.Mr.DD had a height requirement that he liked for his footstool and he wanted these stools to be used as a footstool as well.The puzzle game table was higher than the average coffee table height because the footstools needed to be almost as high as the couch.The stools fit under the table in my living room.

I decided not to use 2 x 4's as the table legs because the look of a square box leg would not fit with my other "leggy" items in the room.We needed taller legs so a dining table was what we needed.I found a dining table and chairs.The answer was to use the table legs and chairs as stools.This was a cheaper way to build a puzzle table.

I took her to my paint workshop to stain the top and spray the base after the table was built.The frames are being sprayed for my wall decor next to the media stand.

I used a table saw to square off the edges.I stained the legs using a table saw and sealed them with Minwax.

I can spend more time with my family.You would never know we are working on a puzzle when I close the top and drawers.

We bought everything from Home Depot and Lowe's for under $200.The amount depends on the type of wood you use and the price of lumber in your area.pine wood was used for the table.

The plans for the table are for 1000 piece puzzles.It is possible to modify the plans for a bigger space.The custom tables are larger than the original build plan table and hold 2000 piece puzzles.

Have you ever built one to sell?I would be interested.Not very skilled in this house.

If you cut the drawer boards straight, your 14 x 19 is correct.I had to change my ends to 15 because I cut mine at 45.

Let me know when the plan is available.I work for a Council on Aging center and we always have a puzzle up and often lose pieces because they slide off the table.The table has a small modification.
