How To Build Your Own Batman Costume

Whether you call him "The Caped Crusader," " The Dark Knight," or "Batman," his batsuit has become an icon.Batman wears his Batsuit to hide his identity and to intimidate villains, but you can make your own, just for fun, and if it intimidates a few villains along the way, so much the better. You can get started with Step 1 below.

Step 1: What kind of Batman do you want to be?

Since Batman's debut in May 1939, his costume has evolved as well. The darker version of Batman began to appear after the Batman Begins movie.Batman was portrayed as a dark outcast who lives outside of the law in the movie."Endure, Master Wayne" is what AlfredPennyworth said in The Dark Knight. It's time to take it.Batman can be the outcast because they will hate you for it.No one else can make that choice for him.The right choice. This is a comic-book version of Batman. The batman costume is more playful and colorful, with bright yellow accents, and follows a detective-style way of fighting crime. The Batman character who is witty enough to say "freeze!" is depicted in this costume. To Arnold as Mr.Freeze.

Step 2: Go dark.

The Dark Knight's suit is more advanced than the first one. Here's how to make one.Start with a pant suit.It should be black with a long sleeve. It should be stretchy for optimal mobility. You can find them at stores that sell ballet clothing, or if you will be spending time outside when the weather is cold, you can go for a body suit like those that divers, surfers, and paddlers use.Add on armour. The hard shell of the bat suit can be created with black paintball armor. You want to cover the chest and upper arms, but every part of your body should have this hard shell on it.It should be pumped up.Batman's suit clearly shows how big each and everyone of his muscles are, to strike fear into the hearts of villains and scoundrels. If you want to build up muscles, you can use dense, paintable styrofoam or add large amounts of Puffy Paint. The Batman crest needs to be added. The center of your chest is covered by the Batman crest. There should be nothing around the symbol.Print the template as large as you want, trace it onto cardboard, and cut it out with a box cutter.Put the gloves on.The gloves should have three fins on the sides and be all black. The fins should move backwards towards Batman.

Step 3: You need to fasten on your belt.

The large square pockets on the sides of the belt hold Batman's gadgets. An inexpensive belt with a black buckle and empty jewelry boxes can be used for the pouches.

Step 4: Bat-gadgets can be added as desired.

Adding utilities such as a Bat-monitor (black walkie-talkie), bat-cuffs (spray paint handcuffs black), a BAT-lasso ( black climbing rope), and aBat-Tracer is a good way to go the extra mile.

Step 5: Return the cape to "Caped Crusader".

You should have a cape with a straight cut at the bottom.A sheet dyed black should do the trick.Cotton and satin are both good.It is the best material.Good luck with that last one!

Step 6: Take a step into the boots.

These boots are close to military boots. The boot will look better if the lacing is less.

Step 7: The man is wearing a mask.

The perfect Batman mask is needed to crown your costume. The pointed ears on the rubber mask extend from the top of your head. The nose should be straight. The eyes should only have the whites of your eyes exposed and the mouth and chin should be completely exposed. If you want to look like the Dark Knight, use black make up to black out the skin around your eyes.

Step 8: Light up.

The Batman of the Detective Comics days is a lot simpler than the Dark Knight's suit. Here's how to make one.Start with a pant suit.It should be either neutral or bluish-gray with long sleeves.Unless you're already ripped, it should fit lightly so you can pad.You can find them at stores that sell ballet clothing, or if you will be spending time outside when the weather is cold, you can go for a body suit like those that divers, surfers, and paddlers use.The utility belt makes the suit look continuous if you can't find a unitard.Tuck your boots into your pants if they are loose at the bottom.

Step 9: There are some black briefs.

They are not boxers.Batman doesn't mind wearing his underwear on the outside of his gray suit. They have nothing written on them.Depending on the bat-era you are emulating, dark blue will work.

Step 10: It's time to bulk up.

If you want to add muscles to your body, you can use shoulder pads from a fabric store.

Step 11: The Batman crest should be added.

It is necessary to cover the center of your chest. The look of the crest has been interpreted in two different ways, one of which is an all-black "bat" symbol on the inside.

Step 12: Put your gloves on.

The gloves should match the color of your Bat-briefs, have three fins attached to the sides, and be elbow length. The fins should be stiff and move backwards towards Batman.

Step 13: Attach your utility belt to your body.

The yellow belt has a large gold Batman symbol on the front and small square yellow pockets that hold Batman's gadgets.Goodwill and Salvation Army have vinyl yellow belts. The costume store may have a yellow Bat Utility Belt.

Step 14: Bat-gadgets can be added as desired.

If you want to go the extra mile, try adding utilities such as a Bat-monitor (walkie-talkie), bat-cuffs, a BAT-LASO, and batarangs.

Step 15: Return the cape to "Caped Crusader".

You should have a floor length black cape with jagged edges. The edges should be similar to bat wings.

Step 16: The boots are black.

These should be below the knee. There shouldn't be anything on the boots.Batman doesn't have a lot of time to deal with that.Try all black rain boots.

Step 17: The perfect Batman mask is needed to crown your costume.

You can make a black fabric mask with pointed ears. You should have a nose that is straight. The eyes should have almond shaped holes and the mouth should be completely exposed.

Step 18: A friend should dress up as a member of the Batman family.

Catwoman is the obvious choice. Is it a friend or foe?Who knows? There's not much to say about this costume, so be prepared to meet your match, Caped Crusader: Robin, the Boy Wonder. You should make sure Robin is appropriate for the era.The traditional Robin is a little more colorful than the Dark Knight's Robin, who is black with red accents. You will get most of the way there if you have green hair, white face, blackened eyes, and a purple suit. How ragged you make your makeup and how flamboyant your suit will determine if you're an early or later Joker. The villains that make for great costume opportunities are The Riddler, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, the Penguin, and Mr.It's either Freeze, or Bane.

Step 19: It was finished.
