The article shows you how to call a device.If you have an Amazon device, you can use it to make calls to friends and family at no additional cost.If you want to make a call, you'll need to set up calling on your device, double check that your contact has set it up, and ask to speak to another person.
Step 1: The app is open.
There is a white circle in the shape of a speech bubble on the app icon.
Step 2: You can tap on the icon.
There is a speech bubble icon on the "Communicate" tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Step 3: You should confirm your name.
You will need to confirm your name if you haven't visited this section before.
Step 4: You should be able to access your contacts.
The app will give you access to your contacts after you confirm your name.If this happens, you won't be able to make or receive calls.
Step 5: Make sure you verify your phone number.
When prompted, you will have to confirm your phone number.You will receive a text message with a verification code if you type it into the number field.To verify your number, type the code into the empty number field.
Step 6: Say "Alexa" to wake up.
Make sure your voice is loud.
Step 7: To begin a call, say "Alexa, call [name of contact]".
They will need to set up this service as well in order to make a successful call.
Step 8: To send a message, say "Alexa, send [name of contact]".
You will need to relay the message you want to send.
Step 9: The app is open.
Step 10: You can tap on the icon.
Step 11: The person icon is on the screen.
An icon that looks like a person can be found in the top right corner of the screen.You can find your list of imported contacts here.
Step 12: You can select a contact.
The search bar at the top of the screen can be used to type in a contact's name or scroll through their order.If you want to review their information, tap on the contact's name.
Step 13: Below their name is where you can check for Alexa calling and messaging.
You will see "Alexa calling & messaging" underneath the contact's name if their device is set up for calling.The information will not be there if the contact doesn't have an assistant.
