Your skin will likely be sensitive after theicrodermabrasion procedure.Microdermabrasion can help heal your skin and make it look better. If you're not healing fully, don't hesitate to seek medical attention, avoid things that might irritate it, and focus on ways to soothe your skin.
Step 1: Put on makeup and wash it off.
Immediately after the procedure, be sure to wash your face.If you have crystals on your face, this will remove them. Then pat dry.Don't forget to keep the skin hydrated throughout the day.For about 4 to 6 days, use a rich moisturizer on your face.
Step 2: If you can, avoid direct sunlight.
Your skin will be healed if you apply sunscreen every three hours. When you go outside, wear a hat and sunglasses.SPF 30 or more is enough to protect your skin from the sun. It's a good idea to look for sunscreen with zinc or titanium. It's a good idea to consult your dermatologist for more sunscreen recommendations. After you are healed, continue to care for your skin.Always wear sunscreen. When you are in direct sunlight, wear a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. If you have an allergy to the sunscreen, test it on your skin. You should also test a formula for sensitive skin before making a decision.
Step 3: Do no strenuous activities before 24 hours.
Do not do a lot of exercise the day after youricrodermabrasion.Give your body time to heal. The chlorine in the pool is very drying, so don't swim in it for a few days after your treatment.
Step 4: Don't use beauty routines that might irritate your skin.
Wait at least a week before waxing any areas. It is a good idea to check the ingredients in your skincare products. For at least two days, don't use products with those ingredients. For a week, avoid using harsh chemicals. For 2 to 3 days, you should not wear facial makeup.Eye and lip makeup is fine, but not foundation and powder.Don't tan for a week.
Step 5: Don't touch the treated skin.
If you keep your hands away from your sensitive, treated skin, it won't become more irritated by the oils andbacteria. It's a good idea to wash your hands before applying anything.Don't pick at your skin.
Step 6: Wait at least a week.
After your treatment, give your skin time to heal.Schedule multiple treatments, but keep them at least a week apart. You may change to a less frequent regimen after your first few treatments.
Step 7: Drink and eat well.
Drink a lot of water and eat lots of fruit and vegetables after your procedure. This will help keep you hydrated.Don't sweat, too.
Step 8: It's a good idea to apply your SPF moisturizer frequently.
It should be used at morning and night.Don't apply makeup after your treatment if you have a good moisturizer. If you don't know which is best for your skin after the treatment, ask your doctor.Drink a lot of water.Water will keep your skin hydrated.
Step 9: Cool your skin down.
It is possible that your face feels sunburn or windburn after the treatment.Cold water will make your face feel better.Try rubbing an ice cube on your face.If you need to soothe your face, use the cold water and ice frequently. You may feel sun or windburn on your face for about 24 hours after the procedure. This is not unusual.
Step 10: Ask your doctor about the drugs.
If your doctor okays them, use them. They don't cause extra redness or red bumps if you follow the directions closely. Before applying anti-Inflammatory cream, wash your face with a gentle cleanser.
Step 11: If you have bleeding, contact your doctor.
Petechiae, also known as little red bumps, can indicate bleeding under the surface of your skin.Purpura, which are discolored spots that don't turn white when you press on them, can be found under your skin.If you have petechiae or purpura, call your doctor.Taking aspirin will help you with your pain.Aspirin can make petechiae worse.
Step 12: Monitor your recovery.
You should note any redness or swelling on your skin.Keep track of how long the redness lasts. If they last more than three days, call your doctor. You should be almost fully recovered when the redness or swelling starts two or three days after your procedure.
Step 13: If you are experiencing pain, you should see a doctor.
Ask your doctor about your pain.If you continue to experience unusual irritation after three days, call. You should be prepared to describe your symptoms and any activities that may have caused them.Your doctor can advise you on this.
