The screen saver options have not changed much since the days of Windows 95.Every version of Windows has a built-in suite of screen saver options that you can choose from.
Step 1: Click on the empty space.
The context menu will be invoked if this is done.
Step 2: From the context menu, click "Personalize".
The settings for personalization will open.
Step 3: From the left pane, click "lock screen".
Step 4: Click on the screen saver settings.
At the bottom of the Lock Screen settings is where this is located.
Step 5: The bar is underneath the "Screen Saver" text.
If you do that, you should see a drop-down menu with screen saver options.This bar should say "None" if you've never used a screen saver on Windows 10.
Step 6: You can select a screen saver.
You can click on any of the options in the drop-down menu to set a Windows 10 screen saver.
Step 7: You can change the look of your screen saver.
3D Text and Photos are the only options available in the default Windows 10 screen saver."Time" can be used to reflect your computer's clock.The destination folder, slide show speed and whether or not your photos display in a random order can be changed.
Step 8: Do you want your screen saver to turn on?
In the field next to "Wait", you should see the number 15; this is the default number of minutes that must pass before your screen saver becomes active.Clicking one of the arrows will increase or decrease the wait time.The "On resume, display logon screen" option can be found on the screen saver.It is a good option for shared computers.
Step 9: When you're done, click "OK"
This will save your screen saver settings.Your screen saver should display if you leave your computer alone.
Step 10: Click the "Personalize" option if you want to personalize your computer.
The screen saver settings can be accessed from the "Personalize" menu.You can open the Start menu and type "Personalize" into the search function on Windows 7.If you want to search for the Personalize option, you have to tap the Win key.
Step 11: The "Screen Saver" option is available.
There is a Personalize window in the bottom right corner.
Step 12: Look at your screen saver options.
Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 have the same screen saver settings as Windows 10, but you can only change the "3D Text" and " Photos" options.
Step 13: You can select a screen saver.
You can find the same screen saver options here as you would in Windows 10.There is a "Windows Live Photos" option on Windows 7.
Step 14: You can modify your screen saver's "Options" menu.
Only "3D Text" and " Photos" are allowed.
Step 15: You can change when you want your screen saver to turn on.
To the right of the "Wait" text is the value which dictates how long your computer has to be inactive before your screen saver kicks in.To increase or decrease wait time, click the up or down arrows next to the number.If you want your computer to lock itself upon screen saver activation, check the "On resume, display logon screen" option.If you are using a shared computer, this is a good idea.
Step 16: Click either "OK" or "Apply" to save your changes.
