How To Change the Text Message Tone on an Android
If you get a lot of texts on your phone, you'll hear the default notification sound more often.You can control the sound on your phone.
Step 1: Select "System settings" when you hit the menu button.

Step 2: Under "devices" select the "Sound" option.

Step 3: The "default notification" option can be found in the middle of the screen.
Under the heading, it will list the current notification sound.
Step 4: You can see more notification options by scrolling up or down.
Step 5: "Silent" is the option you want to change.
You can hear a short sample of what the sound is like with all the other options.Click "OK" to change the sound.
